HYPE ASIDE, YES! YOU CAN REALLY MAKE A MILLION DOLLARS ON THE INTERNET!

You know there are a lot of hype, exaggeration and false promises on the Internet of making tons of money with little effort so what is the truth! It is very scientific, the truth is if you really want to make a million dollars on the Internet, you must commit serious time, money and effort to make that a reality!

You may need three to five years to achieve it and that again depends on how hard you work at it. That's reality for you and it is not easy to face the truth! I've done my research on those who made money online, their learning curve usually takes from three years to five years and the problem with most people is they want to do it in three months to five months.

There are unscrupulous "internet marketers" who know there is a big "hungry pool of lazy and gullible fishes" that they deviously put up "delicious and irresistible baits" and promises of making easy money when you buy their programs that offers you a hands free "push button" "automatic money-making machine" that will "stuff your inbox with cash!"

Here's the reality check, if their programs are so easy why there are so many people still struggling on the Internet? If it is so easy to duplicate why is it not duplicating? What is the missing link? The missing link is the truth! It is not so easy and you must put in consistent time, money and effort to make it happen. And you must find someone who is sincere and is willing to show you step by step how to do it!

Of course, there are genuine programs that will help you make money when you really put in the time and effort to make it work and from my research it seems that many people are just not willing to work the program and give it enough time for it to work! Clarity leads to power. You must be very clear how much time you need to put into the program before you start making money online.

So how do you differentiate the genuine programs from the programs of the "con artists" whose main primary motivation is to make money fast on a "hit and run" strategy with the belief that there is a sucker born every second on the Internet!

Do your due diligence and check up with past students or friends who have purchased these marketers' products and simply ask them: "Did they deliver what they promised?" Abraham Lincoln said that you can fool all the people some time but you cannot fool all the people all the time! Words get around very fast on the Internet and the law of cause and effect applies everywhere and with the Internet it just works faster!

Buckminster said it very well: Integrity is the essence of everything! Business is about delivering what you promised! It is about giving value and ensuring your customers get what they want!

So if you really want to make a million dollars on the Internet, there are a few basic things you must be prepared to do. You must look for someone who is sincere about helping you to make money online and is going to deliver what they promised you!

To be successful, you must learn from someone who has been there and done that. Again, do your due diligence and look at his students and let's be fair, not everyone will apply what they learn but there must be a good percentage of students making money online after purchasing their program, not 1% only! So what is a good percentage? A good percentage would be about 20% which means out of 100 students about 20 of them are making good consistent income online!

What happens to the 80%? We live in the real world and a lot of people say they want to do but didn't really mean it even if they paid for it and that is why the marketer must have a good follow up system to ensure there is constant support so that at least 20% can make a decent income online. From my research I find this is very much lacking and this weakness will affect the credibility of internet marketing where people are promised a simple quick way to make money online but it is not happening so it becomes a "false promise" and there is a saying that good news travel fast, bad news travel faster!

What is happening on the Internet now makes many people recall the story of the boy who lied and played a trick too often by crying "Wolf, wolf!" When internet marketers have the real things that can really help people make money online, the customers are not listening or responding to it so it is back to the basic elements of building a business and that is building relationship and trust!

Find out what people want online and make sure you deliver what you promised and support it with a good follow up system so that you build your credibility in the market because that is definitely very much lacking now! People are really tired of the endless hypes and false promises, they are hungry for the real thing! If you can really give them the real thing you will find lots of customers knocking on your door through word-of-mouth advertising!

I learned a lot from Jay Abraham, my marketing guru and in business you have to love your clients and be good to them? And what does that mean? Say what you mean and mean what you say and deliver what you promised! You want life-time customers who will keep on giving you referrals after referrals because it is only human nature to reward those who have been good to you!

It is not how, it is always why? Do you have the burning desire to make money online? If there is a global online business that you can start for only US$10 a month will you consistently put in the effort to build this business? The Internet has taken away the big excuse of not having enough capital to start a business. It has also taken away the big excuse of the high cost of reaching your market. Now you have very low start up cost of US$10 and a very low monthly operating cost of US$10 a month and very low cost of reaching a global market through email marketing, setting up blogs, participating in forums, article submissions and many other low cost ways, so what's your excuse?

For your information, most conventional business takes about two years to break even which means they didn't make a cent in their first two years, they are just recovering what they have invested! With an online business if you really work hard at it, you can start making money in your first two months!
